March Video Update
The end of the school year always flies by. Check out March’s video update!
High School US History Trip Recap Video
Seeing firsthand where historical events happened makes history come alive. Over Spring Break TVA’s US History students took a week to study their Revolutionary War unit and see other important historical sites in Boston, Gettysburg, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. They learned from local history experts, visited 25 historical sites, 8 museums, and 7 monuments/memorials, tried local food, took two trains, navigated three metro systems, saw 10 states, and walked about 50 miles. They worked on trip journals throughout the tour, answering reflection questions and scrapbooking photos and mementos as they made their way along the east coast. This trip was packed full of fun memories and lots of great learning!

New Sign In tablet
If you come to our front office you’ll notice that we’ve implemented a new sign in system for parents/visitors/volunteers. You’ll find a tablet by the front desk (with the image seen here) where you can sign in and out any time you come on campus. After you sign in please make sure you get your visitor’s badge from Mily and don’t forget to sign out when you leave.
Thank you for your understanding and patience while we are educating you and other’s on how to use the new system.
The ultimate goal is to make things easier on both you and our office staff!
Home & School Service Hours Reminder
TVA asks each family to actively participate in school life by contributing 20 service hours per family each year (10 for single-parent and preschool families). These volunteer hours help make sure the school has the resources we need to host important school and community events, support our teachers throughout the year, and maximize any funds we raise.
Home and School Association coordinates and tracks each family’s required service hours, and will provide quarterly status reports to parents. If parents are unable to contribute volunteer hours, there is an option to pay $10 per required service hour instead.
